hi guys!

we just got back from a great day hanging out at some waterfalls, jumping off rocks, etc, and we thought it would be a great time for a quick update! we have had an amazing couple of days, seeing God's creation from all angles. We spent a beautiful starry sandy night in the desert (and MAN did our camels snore! :)) Today we went to 130 metre waterfalls. We couldnt believe how powerful the water was (or where the water came from b/c this country is so dry....) we had a great dip all the same though, and it felt so good to get refreshed, even though the water was absolutely frigid. We all made a pact to remember that teeth chattering feeling tonight when we are baking in the oven otherwise known as our hostel room....

tomorrow we get back to the business of encouraging, this time to our friends from Providence, J and L! We are so excited about seeing them, and from our phone conversations, i think they are just as excited, if not more so (if thats possible!) we are looking forward to having a great time with them. we will spend two nights with them, and then we will visit one other family (this one was an addition that God laid in our lap when we got here, so we are really looking forward to this chance to minister as well!) After we stay with that family, we will be working our way back, in preparation to fly out on Monday afternoon.

to sum up so far, we have visited with 4 differrent families, and they each have taken us in as their own. even though we were pretty much complete strangers, many even letting us crash in their house. we have been referring to ourselves as "the 'perfect' strangers" :) we have felt so welcomed and loved, and have seen very specific reasons why God led us to these particular families, whether it be to encourage a child that has been having problems with bullies in school (being the small foreign kid :( ), whether its to pray with a couple that is dealing with very sick family members, or whether it is to show a single worker in a very remote area that she is not forgotten, and that her work matters. We have seen so much and have been so blessed and encouraged by these folks as well as each other.

Thanks so much for all of your prayers - we have been very blessed so far. praise God that everyone's tummies are ok. so far (keep praying!) no one has had a problem along those lines in the least. please continue to keep our travels in your prayers, as we are constantly on the move literally every day.

take care, and God bless,

The Perfect Strangers :)
